The New Media community in the Greater-Baltimore area is thriving. As a result, the number of organizations and networking events within the industry is continuing to grow. Greater Baltimore Tech Council - Website

The Greater Baltimore Tech Council (GBTC) is a membership organization for technology companies in the Baltimore area. They are hosts to many events throughout the year, the largest of which is Tech Nite. The GBTC’s event calendar is a great reference for various types of events held in the area each month.

American Marketing Association: Baltimore - Website

The Baltimore chapter of the American Marketing Association is host to many seminars and events across the field of marketing. They host monthly networking dinners meetings for members and offer many other events for members and non-members alike.

Ignite Baltimore & Ignite DC - Website

“Five minutes, 20 slides. What would you say?” That’s the theory behind Ignite Baltimore and Ignite DC. Ignite is an educational networking event that’s sole purpose is to spark conversation and collaboration between attendees. Refresh Baltimore - Website

Refresh Baltimore is the local chapter of a national organization known as Refreshing Cities. Web designers and developers meet monthly to network and brainstorm on ways to keep New Media fresh in Baltimore.

Outlet Baltimore – Website

Outlet Baltimore is a semi-regular event for New Media professionals in the Baltimore area. Outlet is described as a less formal event for professionals to have the chance to meet face-to-face with those they are already networked with online.

BarCamp Baltimore & SocialDevCamp - Website

BarCamp Baltimore is part of a worldwide network of user-created conferences. Workshop events and seminars are provided by the attendees of this annual conference. BarCamp focuses on generating ideas in technology, arts, music film as well as other areas of interest.

In addition to BarCamp, Baltimore hosts SocialDevCamp. It’s branded as the “unconference” for social web users and developers. This event is held twice a year in Baltimore.

Maryland Internet Marketers Group – Website

Another less formal networking group for new media professionals, the Maryland Internet Marketers Group offers networking and brainstorming over happy hour in Baltimore.

Baltimore Twibe – Website

A Twibe is a group of Twitter members based on a specific area of interest. The Baltimore Twibe is continually growing as more people in the Baltimore area join each day. This site is a great resource to find new local networking contacts.
