Havre de Grace, MD, September 11, 2007 - WebAdvantage.net, a results-centric, process-driven strategic search marketing and online advertising agency, today announced the success of its recent pro-bono efforts. WebAdvantage.net President Hollis Thomases reported that the agency donated its time and efforts to negotiate and place online ads for the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW’s)“Save the Whales” campaign. Targeting environmentally-conscious women age 30+, online display and email newsletter ads prompted qualified visitors to protest commercial whalemeat via email and/or a letter and to join a mobile phone campaign. The two-week campaign, which ran on environmental and cause-related websites, made a dramatic impact on IFAW website lead conversions and its whale rescue efforts with a conversion rate of 54.33 percent. This effort was WebAdvantage.net’s first effort on IFAW’s behalf.
“WebAdvantage.net helped to modify our self-created media plan and negotiate, place and track the buys with very little lead time. With their help we saw an improvement on conversion rates from the previous year’s campaign.” said Cassandra Koenen, Director, Online Campaigns and Marketing at IFAW. “The agency’s dedication, teamwork and generosity proved their ability to help us reach, educate and motivate millions nationwide and allowed us to direct more resources towards making the world a better place for animals and people.”
