When re-tweeting (RT) posts from tweeps with a lot of followers, what do you feel is the cut-off quantity of followers before RT’ing them becomes moot?

When popular Twitter users tweet something worthy of a re-tweet, do you hesitate to RT them if they have a substantial amount of followers to avoid repeating information to the same circle of people? How many followers is too many when deciding when to re-tweet someone?
