It’s time for another “Sneak Peek!” Here are some tools that individuals and small businesses alike can use to track their Twitter and other social media efforts:

Social Mention

Social Mention sends email alerts for all things social media: blogs, Twitter and other microblogging platforms, bookmarks, comments, events, images, news, videos, audio, Q&A’s, or all.

Trendrr

Trendrr allows you to track the popularity and awareness of trends across a variety of inputs, ranging from social networks (including Twitter), to blog buzz and video downloads, all in real time.

socialseek

social seek is a downloadable application that tracks a wide variety of social media sources and topics. The application generates real time notifications, charts, graphs, and topic comparisons that you can export to for further use or manipulation.

Filterbox

Filterbox offers a free Basic version that should appeal to individuals. It has a nice set of features to find, aggregate, filter, and deliver social media results directly to you. There is also a paid G2 version with more robust tools.

Viral Heat

The low cost Viral Heat (plans start at $9.99 per month) enables tracking for a variety of subject matter. For free, you can view stats of the Top Five mentions in any profile category; or, you can search by profile name and view the results.
