Sometimes you’re just looking for Internet marketing statistical and demographic information, but don’t want to spend a lot (if any) money to find it, right? You might do the research yourself if you only knew where to go, right? Right! And we’re going to quickly help you find those useful sites.
First, if you’re looking for some raw, hard data, check out the Georgia Institute of Technology’s GVU (Graphics, Visualization, and Usability Center) WWW User Survey. These survey results are compiled from over 5,000 Internet users who answer questions about age, occupation, sex and origin.
A recent visit to their site revealed an excellent links page, listing many of the other online resources for statistical and demographical information. Certainly worth visiting are The NPD Group for marketing information on over 20 industries, and NUA Internet Surveys which boasts being, “The World’s No. 1 Resource for Internet Trends.”
A few other sites that are good resources for data that are not listed with the GVU are:
eMarketer’s eStats
And let’s not forget one of the U.S. government’s favorite source of statistics, The Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Happy mining!
