Benefits of Web and Video Conferencing
According to a survey commissioned by BT, there is growing interest in the web conferencing and video conferencing solution for office to office meetings conducted over conferencing software.
66% of firms in Germany and the UK see the business benefits of adding web conferencing technology to their system. However, many are waiting to do so until the conferencing technology becomes more of a normal meetings solution among companies.
BT predicts that the market is set for major growth once a few businesses take the lead and become early adopters of the new videoconferencing software. Time savings and cost savings were benefits listed by surveyed firms when asked for the pluses of using video conferencing solutions.
Worries among the respondents include privacy, security, and industrial espionage.
Six out of ten companies the retail, distribution, transport and manufacturing industries were interested and leaning towards using web and video conferencing for their meeting plans.
