Some of the best and most current information available on the ‘Net can be found in an ezine. For newcomers, ezines are the electronic version of magazines, complete with articles, photos, advertisements, and all that other good stuff you’d expect to find in a magazine and more. Of course the Web allows for so many other things than its print equivalent would - interactivity, hyperlinks to other sections and other sites, and let’s not forget immediate feedback from its readers.
Ezines are a great way for you to promote yourself AND your site. Many ezines are hungry for content, and if you can write and have something worthwhile to say, their publisher probably wants to hear from you. Try emailing an ezine editor with your story idea and see where that gets you. If you do end up writing an article, you will usually be given a by- line with your name and the name of your business, which certainly won’t hurt your credibility either. Additionally, a very targeted ezine might just be the perfect place for you to advertise to your target audience.
How do you find the right ezine? By now there are thousands of ezines, all targeting some kind of specific reader or another. It can be as difficult to find them as it is to reach your target audience if you don’t know where to look. So to help you get started, here are a list of a few of the ezine resources designed to help you find the right ezine for you quickly and efficiently:
