(Baltimore, MD) A newly-created company, Web Ad.vantage, Inc. (www.webadvantage.net), has been established to coordinate, produce and place co-operative targeted print advertisements for the purpose of building web site awareness and generating traffic. The co-op concentrates on providing the web site URL, or “address”, which enables a reader to go directly to a site. Ads feature a businesss logo, URL, and descriptive tag-line. Web Advantages goal is to make web site promotion more affordable for businesses that could otherwise not pay for large-sized print advertising.
Web Ad.vantages print advertising services provide businesses with a way to promote their web sites “off-line”, outside the Internet. Once a web site is established, there are many common on-line methods to develop traffic such as registering with search engines, buying advertising banners and participating in link exchanges. To date, ways to promote a web site off-line have mostly involved putting the URL on all printed office materials and in all advertisements. Many small businesses have limited advertising budgets, and cannot afford the costs of advertising to the broad audience they are trying to reach with their web site.
“Web sites are invaluable selling tools to a company because they can provide far more information about an organization than could ever be said in any single ad,” says company president, Hollis Thomases. “Many companies develop web sites in the hope of building their business, but once the web site is up, there is still the hurdle of getting people to know about it. Our goal is to raise visibility and awareness of web sites to potential customers by utilizing the still-popular traditional communication method of print advertising.”
In addition to the exposure advertisers get through co-operative print advertising, Web Ad.vantage promotes its advertisers on its own web site (www.webadvantage.net). Users are directed to advertisers through category and keyword search engines, and all advertisers are hotlinked to their own sites from Web Ad.vantages. Users attracted to the site from a co-op ad they have seen are able to find all of Web Ad.vantages advertisers, even from other ads they have not seen.
