Senior Project/Account Manager
Job Description
The Web Ad.vantage Senior Project/Account Manager will be completely responsible for the overall management of assigned client projects. The Senior Project Manager will be the direct client liaison and be responsible for all facets of the client’s account including back and forth communications with the client, assignment and day-to-day management of the client work executed by Web Ad.vantage team members, project time management, and account profitability. The Senior Project Manager will also play an active role in strategy, execution and analysis of client initiatives. The Senior Project Manager must “own” each of the projects in which s/he is involved. The Senior Project Manager will also be considered a part of the Web Ad.vantage management team, and be involved in decision-making opportunities as a result.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee client projects by acting as liaison between client & Web Ad.vantage, Inc. as well as to supervise and manage Web Ad.vantage, Inc. staff and responsibilities pertaining to said client(s).
- Lead point of contact for client in meetings, via telephone, fax, and email
- Serve as strategic counsel to clients and provide consistent results for clients
- Develop long-term plans and program recommendations for clients
- Organize planning and status meetings on a regular basis to keep projects on track
- Set deadlines for tasks and see that they are achieved
- Follow-up with staff to ensure they understand and can accomplish their assignments
- Review, edit and give final approval to client deliverables before they are sent to client
- Communicate with client and Web Ad.vantage team about status of ongoing and completed projects
- Identify/Recognize/Solicit new business/growth opportunities within existing clients assigned to Senior Project Manager
- Generate proposals and service agreements for new client work
- Ensure project time sheets are kept up to date
- Analyze completed projects for profitability
- Manage monthly client invoicing requests and media reconciliations
- Review weekly Senior Project receivables status and follow-up with past due invoices to clients
- Serve as member of Web Ad.vantage management team
- Attend and present at monthly management meetings, staff meetings and Senior Project reviews
- Rate the performance of staff members as it pertains to the performance goals established for each staff member.
- Participate in agency/business development strategy sessions
- Investigate/Research/Assess new vendors, technologies, etc that may assist in the facilitation of client projects
- Report back weekly (or as needed) to Web Ad.vantage management on project status, new developments, client relation issues, supervisory or management issues, and anything else relevant to the progress of the Senior Project and client’s satisfaction with Web Ad.vantage, Inc.’s services.
Required Skills & Personal Traits
- Agency experience preferred (does not have to be interactive agency)
- Strong familiarity with the Internet/Internet marketing
- Background a must in at least one of the following disciplines: advertising, marketing, public relations, web strategy &/or online marketing/advertising
- Strong writing skills, interpersonal and communication skills required
- Strong organizational skills/ability to prioritize
- Strong leadership/supervisory skills
- Must demonstrate a problem-solver mentality; ability to anticipate and think critically; always seeking to improve oneself or internal systems & processes
- Ability to set and achieve goals
- Exceptional sense of responsibility, accountability, and pride
- Skill in conveying ownership of assigned projects to junior team members
- Can turn ideas into workable plans
- Fluency in Microsoft Word & Excel – ability to produce and manipulate databases, insert charts & graphs, do mail merges, create tables, hyperlinks, bookmarks and insert graphics, among other fluency skills
- Positive attitude – Web Ad.vantage is an upbeat, unconventional but high intensity workplace
- Comfortable in a fast-paced non-corporate work environment
- Show commitment and dedication to the agency’s success as well as individual career
