Inside Sales/Sales Support Specialist
Job Description:
The Sales Support Specialist is an articulate, friendly, intelligent, results-driven individual with solid writing and communication skills. This person will be responsible for assisting in the sales process by pre-qualifying, contacting, writing proposals for, and follow-up with in-bound leads generated by the company’s sales and marketing efforts. Additionally, the Sales Support Specialist will help WebAdvantage.net expand its referral network of strategic partner agencies. Most qualified leads take 60-90 days to close, often require education and consultative selling.
Location:
On-site in Havre de Grace, Maryland
Duties & Responsibilities:
- responding to incoming leads generated through WebAdvantage.net’s marketing efforts
- Assisting in the recording and tracking of incoming leads into the master database
- pre-qualifying prospects
- pre-determining prospects needs and WebAdvantage.net’s potential role in fulfilling those leads
- communicating such needs to WebAdvantage.net principals; involving principals in pricing, proposal writing &/or pitch when necessary
- writing of detailed proposals
- responding to inbound Requests for Proposals
- researching statistics, surveys, facts to help support proposals or pitches
- assisting in the production of agency pitches to prospects
- coordinating the presentation of proposals to prospects via phone, web meetings or in-person meetings
- following through on prospects with the goal of involving WebAdvantage.net principals to close the sale
- drafting service agreements
- provide ideas and feedback to WebAdvantage.net principals with regard to new product opportunities, product pricing, etc. based on competition, market developments, feedback from prospects, etc.
- work with the WebAdvantage.net marketing team to develop strategic plans in support of sales efforts
- generating and cultivating new strategic agency partner leads through targeting, direct sales efforts and networking (Web Ad.vantage’s goal is to have at least one active strategic partner in every state)
- Assist in the maintenance of the strategic partner database
- Assist in communication strategies to the strategic partner network
- participation in WebAdvantage.net new business cultivation activities (e.g. trade shows, seminars, conferences, etc.)
Required Skills & Personal Traits:
- Familiarity with the Internet/Internet marketing
- Agency, consulting or service-based experience a plus
- Must demonstrate a problem-solver mentality; ability to anticipate and think critically; provide creative solutions to meet prospects’ needs; always seeking to improve oneself or internal systems & processes
- Fluency in Microsoft Office a must; advanced Word skills a plus
- Ability to work independently but knowing when to solicit help
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
